• Historical Land Use Change; Combined Cropland and Pasture Areas

  • This video was prepared from a selection of maps produced through a series of global raster data analyses.  This project was conducted at Columbia University as part of my post-doctoral research to model the growth and dispersion of agricultural practices around the world since the beginning of human history.

• Forest Regrowth and Sustainability Analysis

  • Built using ArcGIS Online (AGOL) App Builder, this app integrates outputs from a series of ArcGIS and ENVI remote sensing raster and vector data analyses.  It integrates 25 years of NASA Landsat multitemporal satellite data to allow users to zoom in/out and around selected locations to visualize the amount of forestland lost and/or recovered in the Amazon rainforest.

• The Venezuelan Population of the USA

  • Developed in ArcGIS Online (AGOL), this app incorporates results from a demographic segmentation analysis conducted using  census data to study the migration patterns of the Venezuelan population in the US. It provides thematic and numerical information along with several user tools to examine the distribution of this growing immigrant population by 1) US regions, 2) Florida counties, and 3) by census tracts within Miami-Dade County, FL.
