• The MidCity Neighborhood Development Association of New Orleans.  New Orleans, LA.  Spring 2007.

  • GIS and Planning Consultant.

  • Conducted a neighborhood signage study in support of local planning and economic development activities.

  • Collected local data to perform spatial analysis to conduct a suitability analysis to assess a series of potential site locations.

  • The goal of this project was to determine the most suitable locations to erect neighborhood signs to increase tourism in the MidCity area of New Orleans.

• New York City Arc User Group (NYCARC). New York, New York. 1996-1999.  Co-founded the NYCARC, an open users group created by local organizations and individuals to provide ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) and other GIS users a platform to exchange ideas, knowledge, and experiences.  

  • Created the NYCARC News Newsletter; design, writing, compilation, and general production.

  • Organized monthly meetings and other activities. Direct contact with speakers and liaison between participants and ESRI staff.

• Eco-Hab International. New York, New York.  1995. Participated in the development, preparation, and management of the "Pre-Habitat 1996 International Conference on Housing" at the Venezuelan Mission to the United Nations.  New York, NY.

  • Liaison between international speakers, government officials, and the general public.

  • Supervised voluntary student workers.

• City of New York, Department of Housing Preservation and Development. New York, NY. 1993-1994.  US Housing and Urban Development Fellow Internship.

  • Participated in building inspections and general site assessments for the HPD Tenant Interim Lease (HPD-TIL).

  • Monitored potential new buildings for program participation and conducted tenant training activities.

  • Created bilingual (English-Spanish) HPD-TIL Newsletter. Topic research, writing, compilation, design and distribution among 3,000 HPD-TIL households.
