As a planning consultant for The Bronx Council for Economic Development, I conducted local land use assessments, population segmentation studies, and marketing analyses to examine the composition of several neighborhoods around the Fordham and Kingsbridge section of The Bronx, NY.

These projects required canvassing the neighborhoods to complete a physical inventory of the assets and all existing land uses found within these areas. In addition, census and socioeconomic data were also gathered and maintained to support several other local improvement programs conducted by the organization.

A database was created to manage The Fordham Business Improvement District (BID) analysis. Some of the tasks conducted during the areal assessment for this project included data collection, management, analysis and visualization; as well as map compilation, production and publication.

In addition, working with bilingual communities entailed translating public announcements and other press releases from English into Spanish. Materials for the initial public consultation and BID preparation were designed and produced in both languages to increase information dissemination and sharing among diverse Latino neighborhoods and other Spanish speaking communities.
